The Edwards EST SIGA-PSI intelligent photoelectric smoke detector belongs to the Signature series. It converts analog information collected from the sensing element to a digital signal and evaluates it with its own microprocessor. Signal generation at the detector reduces the data load sent to the panel and allows local detection to continue during communication failure; it also reduces response time in large loops.
