Optical smoke detector approved for maritime applications of the Discovery family. Since it detects the phase in which fire advances with smoke before flaming occurs, it is used in compartments with slow-developing fire risk such as cabins, corridors, and living quarters. Since detection sensitivity can be selected from the panel in the Discovery housing, the same detector can be adapted to compartments of different characteristics.
