VIREX is an infrared flame detector designed as intrinsically safe for use in areas with explosive atmosphere risk. It connects to the zone line of the conventional panel and makes decisions based on the threshold principle. Since it directly sees the infrared radiation emitted by the flame, it can respond before smoke reaches the ceiling. It provides protection in facilities within the ATEX scope, in paint booths and areas where combustible liquids are processed.
