The SSD535-2 and DFA05 air sampling detection unit contains a high-sensitivity smoke sensor. Air drawn from the pipe line passes continuously through the measurement chamber; smoke density is evaluated in the band between 0.01 %/m and 10 %/m. This range is well-suited to capturing the smoldering phase before visible flames appear. In volumes such as server rooms and cable shafts, it gains time for the team to intervene.
