This red lens member of the Solex family serves as visual alarm in conventional fire systems. The 10 cd light intensity is calibrated for alert recognition in indoor corridors and medium-sized spaces. Red color ensures the alarm is associated with fire and perceived without hesitation. In noisy environments where sound cannot be heard, it assists in initiating evacuation.
