This card adds four zone inputs to the ALPHA control panel for use in areas carrying explosion risk. The difference from the standard expansion card is that it is manufactured as an Ex version and serves lines in hazardous volumes. It is positioned on the control panel side of refineries, paint booths, or facilities with gas storage sections. The consolidation of hazardous areas in separate zones ensures the correct selection of intervention method at the time of an incident.
