EX4A4 is an expansion card that adds four detector groups used in explosive atmospheres to the ALPHA series fire alarm panel. For each group, there is an LED indicating alarm and fault status and a separate test button; which group is active can be seen directly on the card. It enables the inclusion of hazardous volumes containing substances such as paint, solvents, and fuel to the existing panel. It provides group-based test capability during commissioning and periodic inspections.
