Standard socket for attaching the detector to the ceiling and XPERT addressing card. The loop cable is connected to the socket, and the detector is installed later; thus wiring can be completed during the rough construction phase and devices installed at project completion. Since the address resides on the card inserted into the socket rather than on the detector itself, the address remains unchanged when the detector is replaced.
