Conventional combined heat and optical smoke detector. Connected to the zone circuit; in an alarm condition, the panel displays the zone to which it is connected rather than the exact location of the detector, which is why zones are kept to meaningful sizes during the design phase. The dual sensor operation reduces false alarms in environments where steam and dust could cause misalarms.
