An intermediate ring added beneath detector bases with surface-mounted cable supply. The humid environment seal inside closes the gap between the base and mounting surface, making it difficult for moisture to reach connection points. Preferred in areas where condensation occurs, such as laundries, cold air corridors, and enclosed parking facilities. Since it is used together with the standard base, there is no need to select a separate detector type for humid areas.
