A grey plastic enclosure manufactured for mounting 500 and 520 Series fire detectors on concrete ceilings. It houses the detector body within the ceiling; to complete the installation, the FAA-500-BB ceiling-mounted backbox must also be ordered. Installation is simplified with this component on solid cast concrete ceilings. Knowing at the survey stage that both components are required prevents work stoppages on site due to missing materials.
