A backbox that enables recessed mounting of 500 and 520 Series bases and fire detectors in suspended ceilings. It accepts cable entries up to 14 mm in diameter; its RAL 9003 white plastic body provides a finish compatible with the ceiling surface. It is used in office, hotel, and retail areas with gypsum board or panel suspended ceiling systems. The detector sitting flush without protruding from the ceiling provides a clean installation result in areas where architecture is emphasized.
