The Bosch D296R beam type smoke detector is a long-range device operating at 24 V. It is used in large and open spaces such as arenas, courtyards, auditoriums, ballrooms, mosques, factories, museums, and warehouses. In such structures, smoke cools and disperses before reaching the ceiling, so point detectors respond late; the beam detector scans the space end-to-end, eliminating the delay.
