Asenware AW-FD602-UV Ultraviolet Flame Detector

The AW-FD602-UV is a conventional flame detector that detects direct open flame by sensing ultraviolet radiation in the 180-290 nm range; it has no infrared channel and operates only in the UV band. With a 110° detection angle and Grade I sensitivity, it responds to the standard test flame at 25 meters distance, making it suitable for indoor spaces such as generator rooms, boiler rooms, paint-thinner preparation areas, and high-ceiling warehouses where smoke cannot be expected to reach the ceiling. The supply range is 12-30 VDC with standby current below 10 mA and alarm current below 30 mA; it connects to conventional panels with 3 or 4 wires and a 470 ohm resistor is placed at the end of the line. Thanks to the 1 A / 24 VDC relay output selectable as NO/NC via the JP1 jumper, it can also be connected to security alarm panels outside the fire panel; the LED on the device serves as a local alarm indicator. The IP32 protection class, housing of Ø103 x 45 mm with ABS socket, and operating range of -10°C … +50°C define indoor installation; since it does not have explosive atmosphere (Ex/ATEX) certification, it must not be used in hazardous area applications.
