The AW-D605L is an addressable detector that combines smoke and heat detection in a single body and operates via 433 MHz wireless connection. Its heat channel responds according to a fixed 57°C temperature threshold and a rate-of-rise threshold exceeding 10°C over 2 minutes; at alarm, the siren on the device produces sound exceeding 85 dB at 3 meters. In residential and light commercial spaces where cables cannot be installed or where damage to existing cabling is to be avoided, it is commissioned by assigning an address in the 1-250 range via the AW-FP100 panel. The manufacturer declares BS 5446-2 as the only reference standard for this device; since this standard covers the heat alarm section, it is appropriate to separately request documentation regarding the smoke channel. Power is supplied by a 3 VDC CR17450 / CR17455 lithium battery, and the manufacturer states battery life as 10 years; with its IP30 protection class, 0-40°C operating range, and humidity tolerance up to 93% condensation-free, the device is limited to indoor use.
