Hikvision8 Channel NVR – 4KDS-7608NI-K2/8P

Product Code: DS-7608NI-K2/8P
NVR

This eight-channel NVR receives images from IP cameras over the network and writes them to its own disks. Thanks to two SATA disk slots, longer-term archiving can be established; alarm input and output allow the device to work together with external equipment such as motion detectors or sirens. Eight PoE ports supply power directly to cameras. It is suitable for warehouse and small facility installations.

Estimate how many TB you need, or how many days your disk will hold. The result is a range, not an exact value.

Quiet scene5.2 TBwarehouse, corridor, archive
Busy scene16 TBentrance, cash desk, street

Calculated with a typical bitrate range of 2–6 Mbit/s (H.265, 15 fps). Total incoming bandwidth: 16–48 Mbit/s. Disk capacity uses the manufacturer’s TB (1 TB = 1000 GB). Real usage depends on scene activity; for an exact figure enter the bitrate shown on the recorder or take a 24-hour sample recording. The calculation uses the whole disk; if you want to keep part of it free, divide the result by (1 − margin), e.g. by 0.9 for a 10% margin.
