This M-series 16-channel recording device collects IP cameras over the network and writes to two disks. High incoming bandwidth prevents loss of image quality when camera count increases. A IP speaker can be connected to add voice announcement capability. It is used in buildings with existing network infrastructure when only the recording side requires upgrade.

Real usage depends on scene activity; for an exact figure enter the bitrate shown on the recorder or take a 24-hour sample recording. The calculation uses the whole disk; if you want to keep part of it free, divide the result by (1 − margin), e.g. by 0.9 for a 10% margin.
